Job summary

The Arch Co in London is seeking a Property Counsel to join its growing in‑house legal team, supporting a diverse commercial property portfolio across the UK.

With 2+ PQE, you will draft and negotiate a wide range of leases and property documents, manage renewals, and advise on day‑to‑day property matters. You’ll work closely with asset managers, leasing teams and senior stakeholders in a hybrid London environment to deliver practical legal guidance that directly shapes the business.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' post-qualification experience in real estate law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related documents.
• Familiarity with landlord and tenant law and title investigations.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and completing commercial leases and related property documents.
• Managing lease renewals and handling Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters.
• Conducting title investigations and HM Land Registry matters.
• Providing day-to-day property legal advice across the business.
• Supporting leasing teams and developing junior paralegals.
• Collaborating with senior colleagues and external counsel on complex matters.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll be doing

• Drafting, negotiating and completing a wide range of commercial leases and other transactional property documentation
• Managing lease renewals, including matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
• Conducting title investigations and handling HM Land Registry matters
• Advising on day‑to‑day property legal queries across the business
• Supporting a busy, high‑volume leasing function while helping develop paralegals
• Working alongside senior colleagues and external counsel on more complex property matters where required
