Qualifications

  • Part-qualified accountant or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least 5 years' experience in a property management or real estate finance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint (essential).
  • Experience using MRI / QUBE or similar property management software (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable including processing of purchase orders, invoices, and carrying out BACS payments weekly.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable including preparation of tenant demands, VAT invoices and collection of rents.
  • Assisting in preparing annual service charge budgets and year-end reconciliations.
  • Producing closing statements, annual reconciliations and tenant packs.
  • Undertaking credit control and responding to tenant financial queries promptly.
  • Assisting with VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
  • Monitoring insurance claims and coordinating with insurers as required.
  • Coordinating tenant communications, quarterly reports, and general correspondence.

Property Accountant - Real Estate

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Accountant to join a leading real estate investor who owns one of London's most prestigious commercial properties. You will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, service charge accounting, and administrative support.

THE ROLE / Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable to include processing of purchase orders, invoices and carrying out BACS payments on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable to includes preparation of tenant demands, VAT invoices and collection of rents, insurance rents, service charges and other rents.
  • Assisting in preparing annual service charge budgets and year-end reconciliations in line with RICS standards.
  • Producing closing statements, annual reconciliations and tenant packs.
  • Undertaking credit control and respond to tenant financial queries promptly.
  • Assisting with VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
