Job description

Do you want to work Monday to Friday 9am -5pm with a 4pm finish every Friday?

ASA Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Project Workers who have a clean driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle to work with young people who are experiencing homelessness in and around Glasgow.

These positions are initially temporary with a view to become permanent for the right candidate.

As a Project Worker you will provide comprehensive support for young people who are homeless, some with substance or alcohol problems. Your role will be to support and work alongside them building positive relationships ensuring that their individual needs are met.

Applicants must possess excellent verbal, written and communication skills.

The Role:
  • Build trusting relationships with young people and provide a safe, non-judgmental space.
  • Help young people develop life skills, confidence, and positive coping strategies.
  • Assist with goal setting, employment, and personal growth.
What we need from you:
  • Provide direct support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them access safe housing, healthcare, and social services.
  • Work one-on-one with service users to assess their needs, develop action plans, and set achievable goals.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users, ensuring they receive the resources and support they need.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to empower individuals to rebuild their lives.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work empathetically with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in housing, social work, or mental health services is desirable but not essential.
