Job summary

A leading support organization in Tees Valley is seeking a Project Worker to assist vulnerable individuals in their daily living and help manage their support plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and a positive attitude towards helping others. Responsibilities include providing advice on tenancy conditions, managing finances, and promoting social inclusion. Qualifications

  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable people.
  • A positive approach to working with young people.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an approachable attitude.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Sound knowledge of action/support planning and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly assess the needs of customers and update support plans.
  • Support customers with day-to-day living tasks.
  • Offer advice on fulfilling tenancy conditions.
  • Assist customers with managing finances and benefits.
  • Encourage social inclusion and build confidence.

Job description
The role of Project Worker will include :
  • Regularly assessing the needs of customers by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
  • Supporting customers in their day to day living i.e., with cooking and cleaning
  • Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
  • Assisting customers with managing finances and welfare benefits
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping customers to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Ensuring Sanctuary Supported Living delivers its safeguarding responsibilities
Skills and experiences :
  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable people
  • A positive approach to working with young people who have a range of needs
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills, with an approachable attitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of action / support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding
