Job summary

Elevate Projects Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to oversee major cladding remediation projects across residential blocks. You will manage external envelope works, coordinating contractors from inception to completion while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong contract administration, site inspections and stakeholder management, with hybrid working arrangements and a long-term contract.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing external envelope or cladding remediation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction techniques.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations and construction Health & Safety.
  • Experience managing contractors under JCT or NEC forms of contract.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience undertaking site inspections and quality assurance.
  • Excellent contract administration and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the removal and replacement of cladding systems on occupied residential blocks.
  • Overseeing projects from pre-construction through to practical completion and handover.
  • Acting as the client's representative throughout the construction phase.
  • Managing principal contractors, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
  • Administering construction contracts and monitoring contractor performance against KPIs.
  • Ensuring projects comply with Building Regulations, Building Safety legislation and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Managing Health & Safety throughout project delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
  • Reviewing construction phase plans, RAMS and contractor documentation.
  • Monitoring quality of workmanship through regular site inspections.
  • Managing defects, snagging and post-completion issues.
  • Chairing site progress meetings and producing project reports.
  • Monitoring programme, costs and project risks.
  • Reviewing valuations, variations and contractor applications for payment.
  • Liaising with residents and stakeholders to minimise disruption during construction works.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring all compliance documentation is completed.
  • Supporting the delivery of Gateway requirements and golden thread information where applicable.
  • Ensuring projects achieve agreed quality, safety, cost and programme objectives.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Surveyor to oversee the delivery of major cladding remediation projects across a portfolio of residential blocks of flats. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving building safety, ensuring remediation works are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage projects involving the removal and replacement of external wall systems, coordinating contractors and consultants from project inception through to completion while ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

As Project Surveyor, you will take responsibility for delivering complex cladding remediation projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining excellent customer service for residents.
