A national public service organization is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist in delivering projects effectively. The role includes providing administrative support, maintaining project documentation, and facilitating communication among teams. The Project Support Officer (PSO) plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across the organisation. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will provide essential administrative and coordination support to project managers and stakeholders in a national environment. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, from maintaining project documentation and tracking progress to supporting meetings and ensuring effective communication across teams. These posts are available at all CPS office locations. You will be asked to confirm your preferred location. Offers are made in merit order in line with your location preference order. It is not guaranteed that we will be able to accommodate your preference.
Temporary posts are only for current Crown Prosecution Service employees. You remain based at your permanent office location throughout the post and are expected to travel to the temporary office at least 40% of your contracted hours over a four‑week period. Travel and subsistence may be applicable.

The panel has the right to assess the lead behaviour ‘Delivering at Pace’ first. If the standard on this behaviour isn’t met, the other behaviours won’t be considered and your application won’t progress.
The Crown Prosecution Service has fixed rates for its Executive Officer grade – a developing rate (the starting salary) and a spot rate (the maximum salary). Applicants typically join on the developing rate and, after completing a 15‑month development period, may move to the spot rate if the line manager confirms satisfactory performance. Lateral transfers from other government departments must be discussed regarding salary impact.
We offer a hybrid working policy. You must spend at least 40% of your contracted hours over a four‑week period at court, in an office or another official workplace depending on business need and the kind of work you’re doing.
You are not required to upload your CV; a CV section requires employment and/or academic history for the past three years. If you cannot cover three years, a character reference is needed. You must provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words and a separate statement of no more than 250 words for each behaviour.

There are nine positions available (3 permanent, 4 twelve‑month temporary, 1 eighteen‑month temporary, 1 twenty‑four‑month temporary). The CPS cannot offer visa sponsorship. If you require visa sponsorship, you will not meet the eligibility criteria for this role.
