A major energy provider in the UK is seeking a dedicated Project Support Engineer to ensure compliance and quality in Electricity Transmission projects. This role entails leading Design Assurance activities, managing multiple design packages, and supporting project engineers. The Strategic Infrastructure (SI) business unit has been set up to deliver 17 new major projects in the UK, as well as other strategic projects to help us deliver on our net zero ambitions and help the UK Government meet its target of 50GW of renewable energy by 2030.
The Onshore Engineering team’s objective is to lead on Engineering Strategy and to provide technical expertise on the development and implementation of Transmission Assets, ensuring all projects meet with both internal and external specifications, meeting anticipated engineering and operational requirements.

The Project Support Engineer (PSE) will provide subject matter expertise in a relevant discipline and will be responsible for providing Design Assurance and Project Engineering support associated with Electricity Transmission Assets and Civils. The PSE will ensure design, specification and build activities are compliant with National Grid technical standards, business procedures, supplier requirements and specifications throughout the project life cycle (project inception to project completion and handover).

From £54,090 - £63,940 dependent upon experience.
As well as your base salary you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
