A dedicated employment agency in the East Midlands is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to manage building and maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with quality standards and health regulations. You will be responsible for providing technical advice in mechanical engineering and overseeing project delivery. This is a temporary full-time role that requires strong knowledge of building services and health and safety legislation.
Manage the building and maintenance projects, providing technical specialist advice in Mechanical Building Services Engineering, ensuring that all works are carried out in an efficient manner, setting performance specifications and standards and being responsible for ensuring works meet the required quality standards, including ensuring that the legislative duties under Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are discharged effectively with particular reference to water hygiene and legionella.
To Whom: Building Surveying / Engineering Manager
For Whom: None directly but may be responsible for agency staff, consultants and other staff as directed by the Service Manager
Advisor to the Corporate Landlord: Act as a key advisor to the Corporate Landlord on compliance of the Corporate Estate, in accordance with ISO 55000 International Standards for Asset Management.
Technical specialist: Provide technical specialist advice in Building Services Engineering (mechanical). Be the Council’s technical specialist for mechanical engineering, overseeing compliance, servicing, and projects involving:
Oversee mechanical engineering services and construction project delivery and prepare reports, estimates, specifications, drawings and works schedules for quotations or tendering.
Oversee a programme of lift inspections and ensure that all in use lifts are thoroughly examined by competent person at specified intervals in accordance with legislation, COP’s or ot.
This is a temporary role working full time hours.
