Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading consultancy supporting major energy programmes across the UK. You will work within a collaborative Project Controls team to identify, assess and manage risk, ensuring complex infrastructure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

The role suits someone with strong analytical skills who can facilitate workshops, engage stakeholders and apply quantitative risk techniques to enable informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying, assessing and managing project risk in major infrastructure, construction, engineering or project environments.
• Ability to facilitate risk workshops and engage stakeholders to support informed decisions.
• Proficiency with quantitative risk techniques (QRA) and producing risk reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project risk management processes tailored to major infrastructure and nuclear programmes.
• Facilitate risk workshops, maintaining robust risk registers and ensuring threats, opportunities and mitigation actions are effectively managed.
• Undertake quantitative risk assessments (QRA) for cost and schedule, providing meaningful analysis to support project delivery.
• Produce clear risk reports, dashboards and presentations using tools such as Excel, Power BI and other project controls software.
• Collaborate with Project Controls, Planning, Commercial and Supply Chain teams to ensure risks are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading consultancy supporting major energy programmes across the UK. Working within a collaborative Project Controls team, you'll play a key role in identifying, assessing and managing project risk, helping to ensure complex infrastructure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This position would suit a Risk Manager with experience in major infrastructure, construction, engineering or project environments who enjoys influencing project outcomes through effective risk management. It will appeal to someone with strong analytical skills who is confident facilitating workshops, engaging stakeholders and using quantitative risk techniques to support informed decision-making.
