RM Recruit are working with a social charity in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Researcher for their team who will support a range of funding projects. The projects aim to build a comprehensive understanding of the demographics of districts in the Birmingham area to assess groups of residents who are most in need of charitable fundings and housing provision.

Duties / Outputs will include, but not be limited to :

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data on local demographics
  • Maintain accurate and well‑organised research records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and gaps required to make decisions on the distribution of funding.
  • Produce clear, evidence‑based insights on specific groups of people with housing needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to interpret results in the context of wider social housing needs.
  • Work closely with external partners and special interest groups, to build relationships and engagement in the project.
  • Draft high‑quality written outputs, including interim and final reports, executive summaries, and case studies.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently on these projects with the ability to identify and analyse relevant sources of information, subsequently producing a range of reports for senior stakeholders within the charity. Rates will be dependent on experience. This is a mainly remote role but with some presence needed at the charities head office.
