Overview

A design-led, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a proactive Project Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit team in Leicester. Specialising in the education sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of projects ranging from £100k to £10m, including refurbishments, new builds, feasibility studies, and the delivery of brand-new sports halls. The role offers hybrid working (ideally within 40 minutes of the office) with a converted barn workspace and flexibility for site visits and one day per week remote working.

This role is ideal for a Project Quantity Surveyor looking to work on meaningful projects within the education sector, while enjoying a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

As Project Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with in-house Architects and Building Surveyors, taking a leading role in cost control, project delivery, and client engagement. You’ll be supported in your development, whether you’re already Chartered or working towards MRICS status. You will be comfortable running projects from inception to completion and manage cost control on refurbishment and new-build projects, contributing to feasibility studies and overall project management principles.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS status preferred or working towards chartership
  • Experience managing cost control on refurbishment and new build projects
  • Strong understanding of feasibility studies and project management principles
  • Previous work within the education sector beneficial, but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Comfortable running projects from inception to completion
