Project Quantity Surveyor - Major Projects

Salary: 48,000 to 55,000 + Package

Your new role

Our client is seeking a motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to join their Warrington team. This role offers the chance to take commercial ownership of key project elements while supporting senior colleagues on large-scale projects. You will be responsible for cost management, procurement, subcontract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the commercial management of projects from inception to final account.
  • Preparing cost plans, forecasts, budgets, and accurate financial reports.
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and administration.
  • Supporting the administration of contracts, variations, and claims.
  • Monitoring costs, risks, and opportunities to ensure strong financial performance.
  • Working closely with project teams to achieve time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client, consultant, and supply chain relationships.
What you will need to succeed
  • Proven experience as a Project QS with a main contractor, ideally Tier 1.
  • Track record of working on projects within education, healthcare, industril, or custodial sectors.
  • Experience on schemes valued 10m+.
  • Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent); RICS accreditation (or working towards) desirable.
