Project Planner – Infrastructure & Power Projects

Job summary

OCU Group is recruiting a Planner in Scotland to develop, maintain and monitor project programmes across the project lifecycle. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and operations teams to keep projects on track, manage risks proactively and achieve milestones.

The role requires experience as a Planner within construction/infrastructure, strong scheduling tool skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Planner in construction, infrastructure or utilities environments.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project or similar planning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
• Solid understanding of scheduling methodologies and project controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements, constraints and delivery objectives.
• Produce and update schedules using planning software and project control tools.
• Conduct programme analysis to identify critical activities and risks.
• Monitor progress against baselines and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports and dashboards for teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support resource planning and utilisation across delivery activities.
• Assist with risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Promote best practice planning processes and continuous improvement.
