Job summary

Acorn by Synergie in Norwich is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a busy Change and Capital Programme on an initial 3-month temporary contract. You will lead complex change projects, develop PIDs and project plans, and work with senior stakeholders to deliver benefits and savings.

Key duties include managing RAID logs, leading project boards and workshops, and ensuring new processes are embedded post-implementation. Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Project Manager, Change Manager or similar.
  • Experience delivering complex projects in a large organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management with senior and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and actions.
  • Experience delivering financial savings and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex change, improvement and transformation projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain PIDs, project plans, milestones and reporting documentation.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, actions and decisions with RAID logs.
  • Lead project boards, working groups and workshops.
  • Analyse performance data and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Support cost improvement plans and financial savings; monitor budgets.

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a busy Change and Capital Programme in Norwich on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

Key Duties
  • Lead complex change, improvement and transformation projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), project plans, milestones and reporting documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, actions and decisions, maintaining accurate RAID logs.
  • Lead project boards, working groups and workshops.
  • Analyse performance data, capacity and demand to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Lead service redesign and transformation initiatives, introducing new processes and ways of working.
  • Develop and monitor benefits realisation plans to ensure expected outcomes and financial savings are achieved.
  • Support cost improvement plans and financial savings, including budget monitoring and identifying potential under or overspends.
  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams, senior stakeholders, suppliers and external partners.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate complex information through presentations, reports and meetings.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, technology and processes.
  • Develop and deliver training to support successful implementation.
  • Identify resistance to change and develop strategies to encourage engagement.
  • Complete post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and ensuring effective handover to operational teams.
  • Ensure new processes and systems are embedded following implementation.
  • Represent the organisation when working with contractors, suppliers and external providers.
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues in project management methodologies and best practice.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager, Change Manager or similar role.
  • Experience delivering complex projects within a large organisation.
  • Strong project and programme management experience.
  • Change management, service transformation or process improvement projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and actions.
  • Experience managing project budgets and delivering financial savings.
  • Strong understanding of PIDs, project plans, RAID logs and highlight reports.
  • Experience with benefits realisation and performance improvement.
  • Confident leading project boards, workshops and working groups.
  • Experience implementing new systems, processes or ways of working.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
