Job description
Overview

The Project Officer (Post 16) position will be based from home with occasional national travel. This role supports new and innovative UK-wide projects and contributes to the DofE’s five-year Youth Without Limits strategy, helping ensure the DofE is open to all young people aged 14-24 across the UK and that participants reflect the most diverse generation of young people ever. This role is remote, with flexibility to travel nationally if required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of significant strategic projects to increase access and support marginalised young people.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail, set up and monitor systems, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment to drive large-scale projects forward.

Safeguarding and eligibility

The DofE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (e.g. DBS/PVG or similar), including references covering any gaps of employment/education, and will need to confirm eligibility to work in the UK and complete a health check.

The geographical allowance is based on a staff member having a home or office-based postcode within 30 miles (as the crow flies) from Charing Cross, WC2N 5HS. The allowance is 7% capped at £4,000 per annum.
