A local government entity in England is seeking a Beyond Labels Project Officer to lead a community project focused on the lives of people with disabilities in Suffolk. This role involves building a community forum, developing exhibitions, and gathering stories. Suffolk Archives, a Suffolk County Council Service. Address: The Hold, Ipswich IP4 1LR. Hybrid working. Salary: £34,434 (pro rata). Hours: 37 hours per week with flexible working options; occasional evening and weekend working. Contract: Fixed Term or Secondment for 9 months (funding).
Role: Beyond Labels Project Officer. You will drive the delivery of the Beyond Labels project, a major new community project that shines a light on the lives, achievements, and challenges of people with disabilities in Suffolk, past and present. The project is funded by National Lottery players and involves research, oral histories and a co-curated exhibition.
Join Suffolk Archives’ Audience Development Team, which focuses on developing and delivering engaging public programming and working with underrepresented groups. The team collaborates with communities across Suffolk.
