A local governmental body in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Housing Regeneration Manager to lead a team managing decant and regeneration programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housing regeneration and excellent management skills, with an emphasis on clear communication and problem-solving. This role offers the opportunity to improve neighbourhoods while supporting residents through substantial changes in their communities.
Hull City Council is recruiting to this newly created role to provide clear leadership and a stronger delivery grip across our regeneration and clearance programmes. This is an opportunity to lead a specialist team at the point where housing, neighbourhood change, and major capital activity meet. The role is focused on getting schemes over the line – particularly demolition‑led regeneration and the large relocation/decant programmes that sit behind it – while also overseeing wider decant support and property acquisition activity. If you're someone who likes ownership, pace, and practical problem‑solving in complex environments, this role has real purpose and visibility.
If you want a role where you can improve neighbourhoods while supporting residents through change in the place that matters most – their home – we'd welcome your application. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Luke Fairburn, Strategy & Appraisals Manager, on 01482 612404 or Luke.Fairburn@hullcc.gov.uk. Please ensure that your application demonstrates how you meet the essential criteria against the person specification as listed in the job description.
