Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Project Officer to support asset management projects across the UK. You will help deliver a diverse range of initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and robust reporting.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners, with a focus on data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have strong project management knowledge, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple locations

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Rationalisation and Growth by producing high quality bid documents and service level offerings by strict deadlines.
  • Undertake tasks for projects, providing asset rationalisation and growth expertise through research, data analysis, process redesign and IT development.
  • Assist in planning and maintaining project plans, coordinating with Asset Management colleagues to track progress and escalate risks.
  • Contribute to production and presentation of project information for boards, including risk/issue logs and milestone reports.
  • Assist with securing resources to deliver project outcomes and escalate resourcing issues to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Provide mentoring and training to internal stakeholders to address knowledge gaps.

Job Title: Project Officer

Contract Type: 4 positions - 2 x Fixed Term Contract for 24 months and 2 x Fixed Term Contract 18 months

Salary: £34,642.36 per annum (£38,116.09 is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)

Working Hours: Full time 35 hours

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday- Hybrid

Location: Can be based in Carlisle, Liverpool or London

Role Profile
  • Support the Head of Rationalisation and Growth by producing high quality bid documents and service level offerings against strict deadlines, ensuring all documents are established and submitted with the highest level of accuracy, through agreed mechanisms including the procurement portal.
  • Undertake tasks for associated projects, providing asset rationalisation and growth expertise to effectively carry out research, data analysis, process redesign and development of IT systems, to ensure the effective delivery of the Asset Management Strategy and associated rationalisation and growth strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project plans, liaising with key stakeholders including Asset Management colleagues to keep plans updated including following up on progress of key tasks and identification and escalation of risks affecting delivery.
  • Contribute to the production and presentation of project information for relevant boards and forums including Project and Programme Board meetings, including the production of key documentation such as risk and issue logs and milestone reports.
  • Assist with the planning and securing of the required resources to deliver project outcomes, escalating resourcing issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Provide mentoring, support and training to internal stakeholders including team members and colleagues across other departments, to address knowledge gaps affecting the delivery of relevant projects.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of publications for a variety of target audiences, including residents and colleagues, to ensure effective communications and updates are provided regarding progress of projects.
  • Contribute to the development and review of relevant budgets including processing payments for approved contracted works, ensuring Asset Management expenditure is robustly managed in line with the Group’s financial controls, reporting as required including escalating details of planned over/under spending as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate Asset Management records, using appropriate systems and databases, ensuring the integrity and quality of data to enable regular analysis to be carried out and reporting to be completed as required.
  • Manage enquiries effectively, providing clear, supportive and accurate advice or signposting as appropriate and escalating complaints and complex queries via the appropriate channels to ensure effective resolution.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, providing advice and support and building constructive working relationships to effectively deliver the Asset Management Strategy.
  • Ensure internal business processes are followed in line with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service.

Additional Information

  • The Group has offices across the UK and on this basis, there may be the requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role, albeit that regular support will be required to teams in Camden and Dartford
