Job summary

Fawkes and Reece (West) in London is seeking a permanent Project Manager / Senior Site Manager to lead flooring and tiling packages across commercial, residential, retail and education projects in and around London.

The ideal candidate will have construction/fit-out background, manage subcontractors and client relationships, ensure H&S compliance, hit programme targets and deliver high-quality results with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar within construction/fit-out.
• Experience managing flooring, tiling or specialist construction packages would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent Health & Safety knowledge.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive.
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver projects against deadlines and targets.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing flooring and tiling contractors and site teams.
• Managing projects and specialist packages from commencement through to completion.
• Liaising with main contractors, clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Ensuring projects and packages are delivered on time and in line with programme.
• Monitoring progress, quality and productivity across the project.
• Ensuring site teams adhere to Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
• Ensuring all works meet the required quality standards and client expectations.
• Managing resources, labour and subcontractors effectively.
• Identifying and resolving issues on site to keep projects progressing.
• Maintaining clear communication and providing regular updates on project progress.

Fawkes and Reece (West) have a great opportunity for a permanent Project Manager / Senior Site Manager covering work in and around London, to join a well-established Flooring & Tiling contractor operating throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated and experienced Project Manager / Senior Site Manager, ideally with a flooring, tiling, fit-out or construction background. This role offers the opportunity to manage a range of commercial, residential, retail, education, health and tourism/leisure projects.

To be considered for the role, it is vital that you have previous experience managing construction, fit-out or specialist flooring and tiling projects/packages and are confident managing subcontractors, site teams and client/main contractor relationships.

This is a great opportunity to join an established Flooring and Tiling contractor that offers training, support and development. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and take responsibility for the successful delivery of flooring and tiling packages across projects in and around London.

As Project Manager / Senior Site Manager you will be responsible for, although not limited to:
