Matchtech Group is seeking a Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of highway and civil engineering schemes across the South West, based in Bristol or Exeter. The role focuses on governance, safety, quality and delivery performance within a five-year capital programme.

You will manage multiple projects, oversee contractors, and coordinate with regional teams to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement across major schemes.

Formación

• Recognised qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or significant experience delivering civil engineering projects
• Proven project and portfolio management experience within highways, construction or infrastructure sectors
• Understanding of programme management, financial control, risk management and project governance
• Experience in contract management, with NEC4 forms of contract
• Good understanding of legislation, technical standards and construction practices
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to develop business cases and resolve complex issues to achieve outcomes
• PM qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2 or MSP would be advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver multiple highway and civil engineering projects within the regional capital programme
• Develop collaborative relationships with regional management teams, delivery managers, stakeholders, suppliers and internal teams
• Oversee external contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, safety and quality requirements
• Manage programme performance, financial reporting and capital expenditure budgets across the project portfolio
• Apply NEC4 contract management practices and oversight of NEC4 contracts
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and constraints, developing appropriate solutions
• Maintain effective communication with communities, stakeholders, transport operators, road users and businesses
• Prepare project business cases, report delivery performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a portfolio of highway and civil engineering schemes across the South West. Based in either Bristol or Exeter, this permanent role will involve managing projects within a five-year rolling capital programme, ensuring high standards of governance, quality, health and safety, technical compliance and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the planning and delivery of multiple highway and civil engineering projects within the regional capital programme
• Develop collaborative relationships with regional management teams, delivery managers, stakeholders, suppliers and internal teams
• Oversee external contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, safety and quality requirements
• Manage programme performance, financial reporting and capital expenditure budgets across the project portfolio
• Apply effective contract management practices, including oversight of NEC4 contracts
