Job summary

Bracken Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Rail projects in the London region. The role involves leading a site-based project team, coordinating delivery, safety, and reporting on progress to the Contracts Manager.

The ideal candidate will have strong Civil Engineering knowledge in Rail, Rail project delivery experience, and a Degree. London Underground experience is desirable, CSCS card held, and proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Civil engineering within Rail.
• London Underground experience desirable.
• Rail experience, project delivery experience.
• Ability to liaise with client, engineers, estimators and surveyors.
• Degree qualification required.
• Proficient with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of method statements and risk assessments.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Knowledge of health & safety procedures and QA systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team on site with day-to-day on-site management.
• Coordinate programming of works and resources; health, safety and environmental planning and monitoring.
• Liaise with client and attend regular progress meetings; report to project team.
• Ensure works are delivered to high quality standards on time, while maintaining profitability.
• Manage incidents/near misses reporting and liaison with consultants and subcontractors.

Bracken Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Project Managers for one of our Client who is working on a Rail projects throughout the London Region. This would suit someone from a Civil Engineering background and with previous Rail experience within London Underground.Our Client is a multi-disciplined Civil Engineering Contractor delivering projects that are time and safety critical within the Rail industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a project team on aRail project. The role will include day to day project management duties on site where you will have a site team reporting directly to you. The role will involve the management of site activity, programming work and resources, health, safety and environmental planning and monitoring, client and sub-contractor liaison and reporting on project progress to the project teams. You will also have to liaise with the Client and attend regular meetings regarding progress and issues etc. The successful candidate will be the main site contact and reporting into the Contracts Manager. You will also ensure that the project teams carry out the works to a high quality standard in a safe manner and to agreed timescales whilst maintaining profitability and ensuring that all incidents/accidents and near misses are reported correctly.
