Project Manager

Right Up Our Street is a community‑led Creative People and Places arts programme funded by Arts Council England.

We bring brilliant art activities and events to the people of Doncaster.

We work in partnership with Doncaster's communities, listening to what they need and want, and co‑creating an arts programme that is relevant and meaningful.

From poetry to performance, film to radio, sculpture to design, technology to physical activity,

Right Up Our Street and Doncaster's local communities make all sorts of inspiring art, with activities happening in exciting ways and taking place in surprising locations.

Position: Project Manager

Reports to: Director, Right Up Our Street

Salary: £20,863 per annum (£32,146 pro rata)

Hours: 24 hours, worked to the needs of the business

About the Role

The role is the key point of contact with priority communities, maintaining a positive and continuous relationship, specifically working in the Balby Bridge and Hexthorpe areas of Doncaster. Working closely with the community panels to curate, manage and deliver projects that inspire and respond to the identified needs of the localities we serve.

  • Lead and be the main point of contact for project delivery
  • Work and support the Director to shape artistic vision in response to community need
  • Oversee and ensure project copy and documentation is created
  • Manage the financial planning and budgets in relation to project delivery
  • Organise and manage high quality events and activity in line with procedures and policies that ensure a safe environment for all
  • Support the delivery of wider Right Up Our Street work
  • Liaise with other Creative People and Places projects across the national network to share learning and best practice

You are a passionate changemaker and understand how bringing creative activity into the heart of communities can lead to lifelong learning and development for those who become involved.

An adept communicator, you can effectively liaise with residents, community groups, business and stakeholders to activate and involve them in locally focussed projects, ensuring local priorities and views are reflected.

You have excellent time management skills and can prioritise workloads to ensure project delivery timescales and milestones are met.
