Job summary

C Coleman James is seeking a Project Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical bias to join their site team on a large-scale student residential project in Glasgow. The role encompasses managing subcontractors, direct labour, procurement, progress planning, and client meetings over an 18-month programme with a strong pipeline of work in the region.

You will lead on-site activities, ensure QA/ITP sign-offs, and maintain safety standards while reporting to the Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• SSSTS/SMSTS certification required.
• Trades background in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Experience in building services projects desirable.
• Front-end/pricing experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage, control and responsibility of sub-contractors.
• Manage, control and responsibility of direct labour.
• Procurement planning and procurement oversight for the project.
• Progress planning and project scheduling.
• Client liaison and attendance at client meetings.
• Requisitioning and ordering materials; call-off materials.
• On-site materials checking and management.
• Oversee ITP/QA/sign-offs.
• Report to Contracts Manager/Directors.
• Address site health & safety issues.

Our client is a well-established M&E contractor with offices across the UK and they are in need of a Project Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical bias to join their site team located in Glasgow. The project you would go onto is a large scale student residential project which will go on for another 18 months, there is a strong pipeline of work to follow within the region, offering longevity and opportunity for progression.
