Job Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on Project Manager to take ownership of grid connection and installation projects across the UK. You’ll be working with a busy Independent Connection Provider (ICP) delivering new connections up to 132kV, including EV charging infrastructure, commercial developments and renewable energy schemes.

The Role

You’ll oversee projects from design handover through to commissioning and client sign-off, making sure programmes, budgets and quality standards are met. This isn’t a desk‑only role – you’ll split your time between office, site and client meetings, keeping things moving on the ground.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Planning and managing the delivery of ICP projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget
  • Coordinating DNOs, civils and electrical contractors, and internal design teams
  • Managing materials, permits, and site access requirements
  • Maintaining HSE compliance and site documentation in line with CDM regulations
  • Producing progress reports, risk assessments and method statements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience managing HV/LV electrical installation or connection projects within an ICP, DNO or utility contractor environment
  • Solid understanding of contestable works, grid connections and the overall process with DNOs or IDNOs
  • SMSTS or equivalent site safety qualification
  • Strong organisational and communication skills – able to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
