Introduction

We are recruiting for a talented Project Manager to join our clients Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Heysham Power Station.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Managers are accountable to the client PPM for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects.
• The Project Manager sets the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM and uses a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely in line with company policies and procedures, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
• This role has no direct reports.
• The role will be based at Heysham Power Station and will require occasional business travel to other UK sites/stations.
• In this role you will report to our company Operations Manager but be accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
• Good communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focused tempered with a team-centred approach.
• Everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject, with Chartership.
• Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) formal project management qualification or equivalent, with expertise in modern project management techniques for complex, multi-functional organisations – desirable.
• Thorough understanding of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
• Familiarity with Safety Cases, Health and Safety, and Environment legislation including Construction Design and Management, and actions for achieving compliance.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and control, with experience in managing commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
• Demonstrable experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, ideally across complex, multi-discipline environments, and leading integrated project teams.
• Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including preparation of business cases and funding papers.
• Proficient in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tools for estimating, scheduling, programming, risk, and Earned Value analysis.
• Experience in Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is , but not essential.

Salary and benefits

£55 - £65K per annum
