Overview
We’re seeking experienced Project Managers to lead major infrastructure programmes using a pioneering third‑party finance model to deliver Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. You will support the delivery of a wide range of workstreams, report to a Senior Project Manager, and drive critical milestones across engineering, finance, procurement, and legal disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of your workstream package through planning, risk management, and governance, focusing on enabling works to ensure successful delivery in the supply chain.
- Support the development of commercial models and procurement strategy (including £1bn tender design).
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, finance, procurement and legal.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams, suppliers, regulators, and other industry bodies.
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality project information, performance reporting, and financial forecasting.
- Lead on the delivery of multiple projects at any one time, each valued in excess of £30 million capital spend.
Qualifications
- Strong project management experience, ideally within engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, managing multiple workstreams and shifting priorities with confidence.
- Experience in regulated settings or large, multi‑stakeholder organisations; commercial awareness and knowledge of third‑party finance models such as PFI or PPP (desirable).
- Understanding of engineering contracts and excellent problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication.
- Degree‑qualified in a relevant discipline such as Science, Engineering or Project/Programme Management.
- Full membership of the Association for Project Managers or a similar professional body, or actively working towards membership.
- Proactive, organised, with the ability to manage ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience using P6 (Primavera) planning tools is an advantage.
