Job summary

Atheray Stone is seeking a Project Manager to join a main contractor delivering a large highways framework around the M25. You will oversee a portfolio of bridge and civils projects across the framework, delivering 8–10 projects per year with varying values.

The role requires experience with tier 1/2 contractors, a degree in civil engineering or construction management, and strong NEC/ICE contract knowledge. SMSTS and CSCS are preferred; travel across the M25 is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience managing a portfolio of bridge projects for tier 1/2 contractors.
• Significant highways construction experience (roads, bridges, or structures).
• Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
• SMSTS certification and CSCS card.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of bridge and civils projects on the M25 highways framework.
• Lead delivery across day, night and weekend shifts as required.
• Ensure NEC/ICE contract compliance and milestone achievement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across sites and offices.

Atheray Stone are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work for a Main Contractor who are working on a large Highways Framework covering the M25.

This is working as part of a busy civils framework which delivery 8 to 10 projects per year of varying values. Types of projects include but are not limited to:

• Concrete Repairs
• Bearing Replacement
• Joint Replacement
• Bridge Deck Waterproofing & Surfacing Works
• Painting & Corrosion Protection
• Ground Stabilisation & Earthworks

Candidates need to be able to travel to all areas of the M25, as well as being able to commit to day, night and weekend shifts.

Overview

• Experience working for a tier 1 or 2 contractor and managing a project portfolio of bridge structures.
• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
• Significant experience in highways construction, specifically roads, bridges or structures.
• Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
• SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment
