Project Manager – High Speed 2 – London

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with ambitions to work on High Speed 2, the largest infrastructure project in Britain’s history.

Due to mobilisation of major Station Packages, our client is seeking a Project Manager with station build experience to add to their established delivery team.

Candidate Profile – What are we looking for?

  • Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
  • APM / MICE advantageous
  • Main Contractor background
  • Experience within major rail infrastructure projects, specifically station build
  • Proven track record for delivering high profile projects successfully

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the business results of the project
  • Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
  • Communicate all project requirements to the project team
  • Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
  • Establish communications with Client/Representative
  • Organise the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
  • Implement the management system within the project team
  • Lead HSQE management
  • Approve Project IMS Plan and appoint duties
  • Evaluate opportunities and risks
  • Organise planning management
  • Establish procurement deadlines
  • Review and revision of contract programme
  • Establish works packages
  • Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub contractors and suppliers
  • Contract management and supervision of project progress
  • Responsible for project controlling
  • Change management process
  • Collaborate in the recruitment of staff
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements
  • Assist in staff recruitment.
  • Represent the project to internal stakeholders with period commercial and delivery reporting
