Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions seeks an experienced Project Manager to deliver large-scale EPC transmission projects across the UK, including onshore and offshore environments. You will drive delivery from design through to construction, commissioning and handover, leading multidisciplinary teams with a strong focus on safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

You will manage budgets, schedules and stakeholder interfaces, ensuring projects meet contractual requirements while navigating NEC standards

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing EPC or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project delivery across E, P and C phases.
• Experience in complex, multi-disciplinary and international environments.
• Familiarity with NEC standards.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interfaces effectively.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
• Valid passport and driver’s license.

Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects within our AC Systems portfolio across the UK, including both onshore and offshore environments.

This is a high-impact role where, depending on your level of experience, you will either take full ownership of complex transmission infrastructure projects or work in close collaboration with another Project Manager/Director. In both cases, you will contribute to driving delivery from initial design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. Working alongside a Project Director, you will help lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Given the nature of our projects and stakeholders, this role requires a strong understanding of the UK transmission environment, including established standards, regulatory frameworks, and ways of working. You will bring the ability to operate effectively from day one, leveraging your experience within UK grid infrastructure to deliver successful project outcomes.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing:

• End-to-End Project Delivery
  Take full accountability for delivering EPC projects to specification, budget, and schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.

• Leadership & Team Coordination
  Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Contracts.

• Stakeholder Management
  Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Financial & Commercial Oversight
  Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure effective cost control and resource utilisation.

• Risk & Issue Management
  Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively, while managing claims, deviations, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

• Planning & Execution
  Ensure all project activities are clearly defined, scheduled, and delivered in line with key milestones and contractual requirements.

• EHS Leadership
  Champion a strong safety culture by embedding EHS into all project decisions and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

• Quality Leadership & Assurance
  Champion a culture of quality excellence by embedding quality requirements into all project decisions, ensuring deliverables meet contractual specifications, and driving continuous improvement through effective non-conformance management and compliance with GE Vernova’s Quality Management System.

• Tender & Delivery Support
  Support tender validation by reviewing delivery models, commitments, risks, and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• Proven experience managing EPC or large-scale infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of project delivery across engineering, procurement, and construction phases

• Experience working in complex, multi-disciplinary and international environments

• Familiarity with New Engineering Contract (NEC) standards

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interfaces effectively

• Strong commercial and financial awareness

• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills

• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities

• Valid passport & driver’s license
