Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority in the UK is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering, science, technology or infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards, while supporting fusion energy goals.

The role offers a salary of £57,117 inclusive of specialist allowance, a strong pension, and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex projects across engineering, science, technology or infrastructure.
• Recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent).
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, suppliers and contracts.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a technical environment.
• Experience delivering engineering projects involving hardware manufacture, assembly or installation.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and CDM 2015 regulations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value engineering projects across the full lifecycle.
• Manage a multi-disciplinary team in a technical project environment.
• Report to programme management with budget, schedule and quality updates.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout the lifecycle.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide governance reporting, financial oversight and progress updates.
• Coordinate project teams to ensure resources meet objectives.
• Ensure regulatory and organisational requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery and processes.
