What you'll be doing
  • Leading / managing the project portfolio within the Manufacturing Tech team, there are currently 20-30 live projects at any point in time
  • Carrying out tasks around Project updates; Planning; Reporting; Risk management
  • Engaging with multi-functional teams with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carrying out commercial aspects to projects, such as budget & cost management
  • Ensuring that projects maintain progress, within budget
Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Communication and diplomacy skills are essential for this role. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders, sometimes at senior levels internally
  • A proven background as a professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices) and basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance
  • Able to resolve & guide others in solving complex project-related issues, but the normal is to follow established procedures
  • Highly organised and diligent to detail. Being able to adapt to changing needs with the project

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with a wide range of project types (R&D, Implementation, Production)
  • Professional PM Qualification or practical experience gained through application of Project Management delivery

The Manufacturing Technology team

This team sits within Technology Enablement and has a portfolio of 25+ projects at any one time. Coming into this role, you will enable improved project performance through project tracking, risk & issue management, stakeholder management, with a delivery focus.

It is expected that the PM will be comfortable holding key stakeholders to account, building relationships across functions and programmes to enable delivery, managing multiple projects at any one time with varying levels of changing priorities.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
