As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are seeking a seasoned Data Transformation Project Manager to lead enterprise‑scale data modernisation initiatives within our global chemical manufacturing operations on a temporary, fixed‑term contract for 12 months. This role is critical in driving digital transformation across complex supply chains, R&D, production, and commercial functions.

As Data Transformation Project Manager you will orchestrate cross‑functional teams to deliver data‑driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business agility.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in data transformation or digital initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and regulatory environments.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), data lakes, ETL pipelines, and cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan multiple activities with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of engineering and contractor industry.
  • Adaptability and resilience.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale data transformation projects across manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, and commercial domains.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, Business Units, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with Business Transformation workstreams and define data needs and dependencies.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications with precision and transparency.
  • Oversee the migration and integration of legacy systems into modern cloud‑based data pipelines/platforms (e.g., Snowflake & Azure).
  • Champion data governance, master data management (MDM), and data quality initiatives aligned with industry regulations (e.g., REACH).
  • Drive change management and user adoption strategies across global teams.
  • Report progress and KPIs to executive leadership and steering committees. Communicate project status, insights, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders within the Global Transformation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Be a key driver of digital transformation in a global, innovation‑led chemical enterprise.
  • Be at the forefront of data innovation and digital transformation.
  • Work with cutting‑edge technologies and a collaborative, forward‑thinking team.
  • Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder meetings or workshops.
