Job summary

An established independent construction consultancy near Winchester is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, liaising with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful delivery, with a high level of autonomy and exposure to varied schemes.

The role covers high-end residential, commercial, education, industrial and defence sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management or Building Surveying.
• MRICS, MAPM or working towards professional qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience delivering construction projects in a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts, procurement and construction processes.
• Experience undertaking Contract Administration or Employer's Agent duties.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and comfortable working within a growing consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from feasibility through to completion.
• Act as the client's representative, supervising project delivery, budgets and programmes.
• Coordinate design teams, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertake Contract Administration and Employer's Agent duties.
• Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, risk registers and progress reports.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies and contractual arrangements.
• Lead project meetings, monitor progress and resolve delivery issues.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Work collaboratively with the wider consultancy team, including supporting Cost Management activities where required.
