Job description

Our client, one of the world's largest building and facilities management companies, is looking for talented Project Managers.

The Project Manager role encompasses elements of sales, client relationship, scoping, pricing, programme, QHSE, and reporting. It requires an all-rounder who can win and deliver projects worth £1.5-2 million per year with full P&L responsibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, governance, and management of project works, as well as managing communications with building users and key contacts within the property community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, scope, and deliver project works across the region
  • Follow, adhere, implement, and improve required H&S and Quality processes
  • Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities and delivering contractual commitments on secured projects
  • Ensure that opportunities for strategic development of projects are exploited to deliver increased turnover and profitability
  • Deliver projects to completion on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Identify, reduce, and manage all risks associated with each project
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and implement health and safety policy and process across company and subcontractors' activities
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors and preferred suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions
  • Work with other Operational managers to ensure collaborative development of projects
  • Develop project financial plans for revenue and profit delivery
  • Ensure positive cash flow through upfront agreement of payment schedules and timely submission of invoices
Person Specification:
  • Thorough working knowledge of project management and project delivery in the construction industry through significant job experience and training
  • Minimum 2 years' experience and fully qualified with a construction qualification
  • Ideally, a relevant degree and/or Membership of MICE/MCIOB/MRICS or similar
  • Member of other relevant associations and bodies
  • Excellent team player with client-facing skills
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, IT, security, and plumbing installations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Ability to demonstrate logical processes, analytical skills, and judgment, along with initiative
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure
