This role involves overseeing projects related to warehouse builds and production environments while ensuring safety compliance. Freelance Construction Project Manager – Shed Builds & Refurbishments / Production Environments

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial construction and refurbishment contractor who is seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Project Manager to oversee projects across warehouse builds, shed refurbishments, industrial units, and production line upgrades.

This is a fantastic long-term freelance opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of industrial construction and the ability to manage live production environments safely and efficiently..

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage construction projects across industrial and warehouse environments
  • Oversee shed builds, refurbishments, and production line upgrades
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver works to specification
  • Coordinate programmes, schedules, and procurement needs
  • Ensure strict health & safety compliance, particularly in live production areas
  • Liaise with clients, operational teams, and stakeholders
  • Produce reports, RAMS, progress updates, and handover documentation
  • Problem-solve onsite challenges and maintain project momentum
About You
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in : Industrial shed builds, Warehouse & unit refurbishments, Production / processing line environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and interface with operational production staff
  • Competent with project reporting and documentation
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid required
  • Full UK driving licence – comfortable travelling to various sites
