About The Role

12th International Carbon Dioxide Conference (ICDC12) Project Manager

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available from mid September 2026 until mid July 2027, on fixed term basis. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

Salary will be £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The 12th International Carbon Dioxide Conference (ICDC12), is being held at the University of Exeter, UK, from 21–25 June 2027. The conference will be hosted by the Global Carbon Budget (GCB) Office of the Global Carbon Project (GCP) and the University of Exeter.

ICDC12 is the leading international conference dedicated to advancing understanding of the global carbon cycle and its critical role in the Earth system. Held every four years since 1981, ICDC attracts over 400 delegates from the research and policy communities.

The University of Exeter is a globally recognised centre for climate science and home to the Global Carbon Budget the most authoritative and trusted voice on the science of the carbon cycle within the global research community and beyond.

ICDC12 will bring together scientists working across the carbon-cycle community, providing an important opportunity to share new ideas and research that can help inform policies and action to strengthen the global response to climate change.

The ICDC12 Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the ICDC12 within budget and resource constraints.
