Job Description

Renishaw is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Additive Manufacturing Division. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with some prior experience in managing projects, looking to build a career in a dynamic and innovative engineering environment. The successful candidate will support the delivery of key projects and workstreams that contribute to Renishaw’s current and future product ranges.

The role will be based at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, with weekly travel to our Miskin site near Cardiff, Wales.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of additive manufacturing projects and workstreams under supervision.
  • Monitor progress and flag risks to cost, quality, or timelines.
  • Follow established procedures to gather and document project scope and requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives.
  • Provide routine updates and flag emerging issues to relevant team members.
  • Apply influencing and negotiation skills in straightforward situations.
  • Track and report project costs, identifying minor variances and supporting adherence to financial requirements.
  • Escalate non-compliance risks and contribute to documentation and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate approvals and maintain documentation integrity.
  • Contribute to stakeholder mapping activities and adapt communication style based on audience and context.
  • Apply Renishaw standard project management practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand industry project management methodologies and begin aligning work with project objectives based on business value.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum HNC/Degree educated (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (STEM or management) subject.
  • Some experience managing projects or workstreams in a previous setting (e.g., university, internship, or employment).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and adaptable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • Awareness of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with stakeholder engagement and basic financial tracking.
