Job summary

Futurebuild Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee a highways scheme in Sussex. You will manage multiple schemes from planning and design through construction, handover and completion, coordinating with clients, consultants and site teams.

The role requires a strong highways/civil engineering background, proven PM across schemes, and Chartered status or an equivalent qualification; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Highways

Location: Sussex

Duration: 6 months initially, with potential to extend

The Role

We are currently working with a leading civil engineering specialist who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager oversee a highways scheme in Sussex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple schemes from planning and design through to construction, handover and completion, working closely with the client, consultants, site teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site teams and project resources
• Manage subcontractors, including those involved from the design stage onwards
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Monitor programme, quality, costs and project delivery
• Ensure projects are delivered safely and to the required standards

Requirements

• Strong background in highways / civil engineering
• Proven Project Management experience across multiple schemes
• Experience leading and managing site teams
• Strong subcontractor management experience
• Experience overseeing projects from design through to completion
• Chartered status in Civil Engineering or Project Management
• Full UK driving licence
