Job description

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the property team of a well-established, family-owned business with a much-loved estate across the North West.

Based from their Head Office in Stockport, you’ll take the lead on a varied portfolio of refurbishment, development and capital investment projects across a diverse estate — from destination pubs and hospitality spaces to brewery, production and head office facilities.

This is a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll have ownership from initial brief and feasibility through to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to deliver projects that balance commercial performance, quality and the character of the existing estate.

If you enjoy variety, working across different types of property and seeing projects come to life, this is a great opportunity to make a visible impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead refurbishment, development and capital investment projects from concept through to completion.
  • Develop project briefs, budgets, programmes and delivery strategies.
  • Manage external consultants, contractors and professional advisers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of project budgets, cost management, change control and value engineering.
  • Coordinate planning, Building Regulations, CDM and other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor programme, quality, cost and risk, ensuring projects are delivered safely and effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects support wider business objectives.
  • Manage projects within live operational and trading environments, minimising disruption wherever possible.
  • Provide clear project reporting, maintaining accurate governance and documentation.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.
  • Help shape the ongoing investment and development of a diverse property portfolio.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering refurbishment, development or capital investment projects, ideally across a multi-site estate.
  • Strong understanding of construction and project delivery, including planning, Building Regulations and CDM.
  • Experience managing project budgets, programmes, contractors and consultants.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage costs and contractor performance.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A relevant qualification in construction, property, architecture, engineering or project management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
  • Experience within hospitality, leisure, retail, brewing or another multi-site operational environment.
  • Knowledge of listed buildings, heritage assets or conservation areas.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or AgilePM.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or another relevant Health & Safety qualification.
  • 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional holiday.
  • 25% discount on food, drink and accommodation.
  • Exclusive discounts across 800+ retailers.
  • Private healthcare for you and your family.
  • Company pension scheme and life assurance.
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression.
