Hitachi Energy is hiring a Project Manager, Engineering to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to drive engineering projects with a focus on applications engineering, design coordination, and tendering support.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the design team across all disciplines.
  • Liaise with project management on engineering budgets, provide forecast costs, and justify changes in expenditure.
  • Manage the programme and interface with planning engineers for design.
  • Provide forecasts for completion and resource planning.
  • Approve documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate and chair design reviews and hazard reviews.
  • Identify and manage additional risks across functions, evaluate risks and opportunities, and strategise mitigation.
  • Support the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions.
  • Act as the Principal Designer Representative on projects.
  • Work with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating to drive improvements.
  • Oversee the creation of subcontracts and manage subcontractors jointly with other functions, including supply chain management.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in the electricity supply industry.
