The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a privately owned, multi‑billion‑pound Tier 1 main contractor renowned for its incredible financial stability (zero debt) and family‑first culture.

They have just secured a high‑profile, complex commercial office refurbishment in Plymouth and require a standalone Project Manager to take the reins immediately.

The Role & Project

This is a major "cut and carve" scheme requiring extensive structural modifications, heavy service integration, and a high‑spec architectural finish.

You will have total operational control of the site, leading the management team, managing high‑value sub‑contractors, and acting as the primary point of contact for the client and design teams.

Essential Requirements

Strict Criteria: You must have proven experience delivering structural refurbishments.

• Proven Cut & Carve Experience: A track record as lead PM on complex structural refurbishments (e.g., heavy temporary works, structural alterations, core removals).

• Tier 1/2 Main Contractor Background: Experience leading projects valued at £10m‑£30m+.

• Credentials: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid, and ideally a relevant construction degree or MCIOB.

• Availability: Ready for an immediate start (or very short notice period).
