Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 08:30 am – 04:50 pm
Worker Type: Hybrid Worker
Salary: Grade H – Starting Salary is £40,777 (Level one) rising to £44,075 (Level four)

About The Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join us as a Project Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of projects that support the Housing Services Transformation Programmes, while actively promoting the Council’s vision, values and priorities. You’ll help put our tenants first through the delivery of high‑quality, best‑value services.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects within a programme, or across several programmes of work.

In this crucial role, you’ll be expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in project delivery. This includes identifying opportunities to implement best practices in project management and ensuring projects are delivered successfully on time, within budget, and achieving the intended outcomes.

You will bring passion and commitment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives and keep projects on track to deliver outcomes and objectives.
  • Ability to identify, assess, mitigate and escape risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance to ensure that project outcomes, impacts and benefits meet the required objectives.
  • Ability to manage project resources, including budgets and financial aspects of projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Evidence of working successfully in partnership across different sectors, building and maintaining good working relationships.
