Job summary

PSR Solutions in Northampton is recruiting a Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion, with a focus on highways-based schemes and site leadership. You will ensure safety, cost control and delivery within budget, coordinating Site Agents, Engineers and the commercial team, and reporting to the Operations Manager.

A minimum 3 years’ Civils/Infrastructure management experience and SMSTS are required; a degree or HNC, UK project exposure and strong

Location: Northampton

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance + Comprehensive Package

The Project Manager role

We're working with a top civil engineering contractor who are looking to add a Project Manager to their business. As a contractor they undertake large-scale varied infrastructure works so it'll be ideal if you come from this background yourself. They have several infrastructure projects in the region which gear around highways (National Highways, Local Authority and 278), earthworks, groundworks and drainage works so experience in this area is preferred.

What the Project Manager will do

You'll be someone who can deliver projects from inception to completion, adhering to the highest possible health, safety and environmental standards to work on an upcoming project. The Project Manager will have a proven track record in delivering civil engineering projects on-time and within budget. The right Project Manager will have:

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a similar Civils/Infrastructure role.
• Knowledge civil engineering and construction management processes, systems and standards.
• Previous project experience working on highways-based projects across the UK.
• Excellent Communicator / interfacing skills.
• Sound Commercial Acumen (including budget management and cost/waste control).
• Degree qualified or HNC and above.
• SMSTS
• Previous work as Project Manager running multiple projects withing civil engineering is advantageous.
• Experience of managing the entire site, including Site Agents, Engineers and Commercial team members.
• Management and control of all site staff.
