Job summary

Cybit, a Newcastle/Newbury-based technology provider, is seeking a Project Manager to join the PMO team hybridly from Newcastle or Theale. You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of customer projects across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security and managed services, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality outcomes.

The role demands excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach with a track record in MSP/IT

Qualifications

  • End-to-end project management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Experience creating and managing project documentation (plans, status updates, risk logs, governance reports)
  • Proven ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks and issues
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to lead meetings and reviews
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and resources
  • Proactive, solutions-focused problem solving approach
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, scope and delivery outcomes
  • Experience in MSP/IT services or IT environments delivering infrastructure, cloud, networking or managed services projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of customer projects from initiation to completion
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs and status reports
  • Coordinate internal technical resources and third-party suppliers for successful delivery
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and regular progress reviews with customers
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, scope and resource allocation
  • Identify, track and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Ensure clear communication between customers, technical teams and stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and escalate concerns as needed
  • Support project governance and ensure compliance with delivery processes
  • Facilitate handovers into operational support teams
  • Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive delivery experience
  • Assist with project-related procurement as required

Guide To What a Project Manager Does At Cybit

As a Project Manager you'll join our PMO Team and be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of customer projects across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security and managed services technologies.

You'll act as the central point of contact for customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the high standards our customers expect. We're looking for someone with excellent communication, organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

What are some of the key tasks a Project Manager is responsible for?
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of customer projects from initiation through to completion
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, timelines, risk logs and status reports

We are looking for someone with
Essential
  • Experience managing end-to-end customer projects from initiation through to completion
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Experience creating and managing project documentation, including project plans, status updates, risk logs and governance reports
  • Proven ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead customer meetings and project reviews
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and resources effectively
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope and delivery outcomes
  • Experience working within an MSP, technology services or IT environment, ideally delivering infrastructure, cloud, networking, security or managed services projects
