Job summary

A leading IT recruitment agency is seeking a Project Manager for a 3-month contract in Manchester. This hybrid role focuses on supporting the delivery of a new data platform for an NHS client. The successful candidate will coordinate various teams, manage project plans and governance documentation, and support procurement processes. Candidates should have experience with data flows and an understanding of NHS data environments. This position is outside of IR35 regulations.

Project Manager – 3 Month Contract – Manchester (Hybrid) – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with an NHS client seeking a Project Manager to support delivery of a new Data Platform Programme.

The role

The successful Project Manager will support early-stage delivery of a new data platform.

This role will focus on shaping delivery activity, preparing for procurement, coordinating architectural and requirements work, and supporting the move toward the new platform. You will work with in-house specialists, a technical BA / data analyst and procurement teams to define requirements, high-level architecture and migration considerations before engaging a supplier to deliver the solution.

You will not be expected to produce deep technical designs, but must have strong appreciation of data platforms, data flows, migration approaches and NHS data environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of data platform workstreams from discovery to early implementation.
  • Produce and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate internal data specialists, architects, technical teams, and external suppliers.
  • Drive requirements gathering, high-level architecture definition and procurement preparation.
  • Support development of specifications to take to tender.
