Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to join a long-term water framework in the South East. You will manage projects from design through to handover, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to the required quality.

The role spans MEICA and water/wastewater environments with clear career progression. The successful candidate will have strong planning, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in MEICA or similar engineering projects

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager in water, wastewater, civil engineering or MEICA.
  • Delivery of projects from design through handover.
  • Strong planning, commercial management, risk and change understanding.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for project delivery from design to completion.
  • Manage project programmes with planners to monitor milestones.
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance with the commercial team.
  • Identify, manage, report risks, opportunities and change.
  • Ensure safe delivery on time and within budget and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, engineers and delivery teams.
  • Oversee handover and asset management.

A leading MEICA specialist delivering major water and wastewater projects is looking for a Project Manager to join its team, working on a long-term water framework in the South East.

Working across the full project lifecycle, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from design through to construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

If you have experience managing water, wastewater, MEICA, or industrial process engineering projects, this is an excellent opportunity to work on major projects with clear career progression.

Duties for Project Manager
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from design through to completion
  • Manage project programmes, working closely with planners to monitor progress and key milestones
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance in conjunction with the commercial team
  • Identify, manage, and report project risks, opportunities, and change
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage and monitor specialist subcontractors and wider supply chain partners
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, designers, engineers, and delivery teams
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory, and project requirements
  • Support client relationships and contribute to business development and future work-winning opportunities
  • Oversee the management of operational assets and project handover requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within water, wastewater, civil engineering, MEICA, infrastructure, or a similar engineering environment
  • Proven experience managing projects through design, construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Strong understanding of project planning, commercial management, risk, and change
  • Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Relevant engineering, construction, or project management qualification is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
