Yorkshire Water is seeking a Project Manager - Business Change to join the Asset Delivery PMO in Leeds. The role focuses on bridging business needs, change management, and delivering strategic changes within the AMP8 capital programme.

You will operate in a hybrid setup (2 days in the office weekly) with occasional travel to Yorkshire Water sites. The position is permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In AMP8, Asset Delivery PMO will support a multi-billion-pound programme of capital investment across YW's clean and wastewater assets. The Capital Programme is growing by over 50% with strong efficiency targets.

We're looking for an organised, people focussed Project Manager to join our team. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs, efficiency and the people side of change which add value to our Asset Delivery teams and Yorkshire Water.

Where you fit in:

• Work with business representatives to investigate and analyse opportunities to drive efficiency across the capital delivery process.
• Provide input to the strategic planning process to ensure that change aligns with thelong-termaspirations of the capital programme over current and futureAMP’s.
• Build business cases to support investment in change activity which will drive cost reduction in programme delivery.
• Work with business representatives to support project planning and delivery of keyobjectivesthrough the provision of change management resources and workshop facilitation services.
• Work with the Business Architects,Process Leadsand Project andProgramme Managerstocomplete detailed business impact assessments anddevelop the business change plan for agreed and prioritised opportunitiesfor changeinitiatives, acting as a bridge betweenproject/programme management and business operations.
• Obtain assurance from the relevant business operations that the change plan will deliver the required benefits.
• Preparing the business readiness plan for the transition to new ways of workingand ensuring necessarylaunch approval and go/no go decisions are managedto a pre-defined set of criteria.
• Optimising the timing of the release of project deliverables into business operations.
• For smaller projects taking on the Project management ofcontinuous improvement initiatives in addition managing business change.

As a Project Manager you will;

• Support the programme manager with key governance on the strategic change programme
• Deliver key strategic change projects and continuous improvement activities
• Design and deliver business readiness and business change plans, include launch, engagement and comms across the programme
• Have oversight of change initiatives across the business and our function to spot opportunities to align and impacts to delivery
• Responsible for sustainment/ Reinforcement activities to ensure change is adopted and embedded.
• Responsible for benefits tracking and realisation across the change programme
• Lead yourself and a team to deliver a programme of work that supports the business strategy and delivers strong, measurable outcomes
• Produce key documents needed for sign-off by leadership teams.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Delivery experience within business change – ideally qualified via ProSci or equivalent
• Solid understanding of programme governance and delivery
• Focused and driven individual who excels in a challenging environment
• You will demonstrate professionalism and excellent performance and will be an accomplished communicator, negotiator, and presenter.
• You will have a proven track record of project management
• You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to present and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.

You will also benefit from having:

• A recognised qualification in project/programme management such as APM is desirable but not essential.
• Ideally, you will have experience of working with others to drive innovation to deliver project efficiencies and cost savings for the business.
