Seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a high performing team delivering a prison expansion project in Oxfordshire. Responsible for managing workstreams to deliver the agreed outcomes and deliverables within time, cost and quality requirements. You will be required to liaise and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to understand and deliver the project objectives and KPIs, providing day-to-day management and leadership of your workstreams and supporting the project team.

Determines project management, technical services and external resources required for project/s.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Delivering project objectives in line with the project execution plan, manages and supervises the project team/s and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitoring and actively engages in health, safety and wellbeing aspects of the project at all stages.
  • Preparing and modifies where necessary project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project/s.
  • Overseeing project timeframes and project budgets and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges and mitigations.
  • Collaborating with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored.
  • Managing relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis where required and site walks and ensures these are suitably recorded.
  • Partnering with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management.
  • Effectively coordinates and communicates with all project parties/stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities/tasks and ensures suitable standards and records are recorded and maintained.
  • Documenting and takes ownership of project changes as and when necessary, tracking project changes.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
  • Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium sized projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation and project planning and development skills.
  • Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Display strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.
  • Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
You’ll also have:
  • Substantial previous work experience in project management (or equivalent).
  • MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS (or working towards) or local equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
  • Appropriate construction skills certification scheme (CSCS) card or equivalent.
