The role

As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of the Babcock Clyde Improvement Programme, leading high-impact projects that drive operational excellence and innovation across our defence and engineering operations. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of naval support and infrastructure, while growing your career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Leading projects to deliver performance across a portfolio of improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining robust project governance frameworks.
  • Managing customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and success.
  • Working within an integrated Programme Management Office (PMO) to define, plan, monitor and control delivery.
  • Planning, monitoring, reporting and delivering projects to meet strategic objectives.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Project Manager
  • Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record across the full project lifecycle, from bid phase to close out.
  • Experience managing complex projects involving diverse products and services.
  • Strong cross-functional awareness of lifecycle requirements for supporting functions.
Qualifications for the Project Manager
  • Relevant professional qualifications in project management or engineering.
  • Preferred: APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications
