Project Manager – Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation Customer Services Team
Rullion is recruiting for a Project Manager based in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear. The role starts ASAP and is open to permanent or salary-based candidates. Hybrid working model – remote 2 days per week – and inside IR35. Salary £40‑45 PH, TBC.
Responsibilities
- Accept projects, manage schedules and key dates to deliver on time and within tender scope while supporting resource loading analysis and gross margin performance.
- Support the Senior Project Manager with the successful implementation of the Project Management Strategy.
- Facilitate the project life cycle in line with client PM processes, establishing quality controls to the highest standards with full compliance.
- Provide programme and resource/staff requirements for the Field Team as needs arise, seeking vital advice.
- Manage customer requirements to increase project scope through effective variation control to agreed terms and contract conditions.
- Use the Non‑conformance Reporting (NCR) tool to close all project‑related NCRs in a timely manner and collect NCCs.
- Maintain high standards of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment – report all accidents, incidents and serious near‑misses, including follow‑up investigations and actions as required.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and operations expertise to the project team to deliver projects safely and meet business aims and objectives.
Qualifications
- Preferably a Degree/HND or equivalent experience in electrical or electronic engineering, product design or engineering technology – or learning on the job. Experience is essential.
- Experience leading a multi‑skilled field‑based team, ideally in an electrical transmission & distribution or switchgear service delivery organisation.
- Good solid understanding of utility and industrial standards covering all market verticals.
- Good understanding of problem‑solving and improvement techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages and document control systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
